Louisa Ghevaert was pleased to attend The Surrogacy Network at Cloth Street, London, on 12 September 2024 to promote best practice and network with colleagues and professionals across the fertility sector.

This Surrogacy Network event provided personal insight from a recently successful UK surrogacy journey. It was really moving to hear from an intended parent couple who had a challenging 10-year journey to parenthood, involving multiple rounds of IVF and pregnancy loss before eventually having a baby girl a few months ago with the help of their wonderful UK surrogate and her very supportive husband. It was heartwarming to witness their close relationship and genuine friendship. Their consideration, trust and support for each other throughout their surrogacy arrangement shone through. Their commitment and authentic connection was evident, as was their collective pride and happiness in the conception and birth of baby Joy. It served as an important reminder of the importance of care, attention to detail, consideration and proactive management of every angle of the surrogacy process.
