On 29 October 2026, Louisa Ghevaert was delighted to attend The Biobridge Foundation’s Women’s Health Forum at Home House Studio in Marylebone. This invitation-only event welcomed leading UK and international clinicians, researchers, scientists, policy and advisory experts for an evening dedicated to women’s health and engagement over a three-course dinner. It fostered meaningful perspectives about reproductive medicine, women’s intimate health and regenerative medicine.

The Forum facilitated informative multi-disciplinary discussions about women’s health and formed part of The BioBridge Foundation’s UK and Northern Europe 2026 – 2027 Educational Season. It addressed evolving developments in regenerative medicine, reproductive innovation, current and future clinical practice. In doing so, it looked at advances in stem-cell and exome research studies and how these developments can be translated from scientific research into evidence-based medical practice. It also provided valuable real-life clinical insights into Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) innovation in reproductive medicine and patient care to help improve women’s health.

Dr Sarah Berndt, PhD, delivered an insightful talk on PRP preparations, biology, standardisation and evidence which included reproducibility and responsible clinical use. Dr Farzana Khan then gave a compelling talk on regenerative approaches to women’s intimate health and clinical presentation and care of Lichen sclerosus which is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects anatomy, sexual wellbeing and quality of life.

This event also acknowledged Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the importance of women’s health from early diagnosis, to equitable access to care, life after cancer treatment, intimate wellbeing and quality of life. In doing so, it recognised the impact of surgery and chemotherapy on women’s intimate health and the benefits of PRP for women whose cancer treatment has triggered early menopause and who are unable to take Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for medical reasons. Breast cancer remains the second most common type of cancer in the UK.
