3 July 2026
On 2 July 2026 Louisa Ghevaert joined Coram Chambers for Drag Queen Bingo 2026 at The Phoenix Arts Club in the heart of the West End of London. A fabulous evening was spent celebrating Pride Month and supporting charity AKT which provides safe housing and community for LGBTQ+ people aged 16-25. This sold out event in the legal calendar also demonstrates a commitment to equality and inclusivity, as well as support for diverse modern families.

According to national UK charity AKT, LGBTQ+ people can often find themselves in vulnerable housing situations or homeless because of their identity. AKT reports that 24% of homeless individuals aged 16-25 identify as LGBTQ+ and that new research shows that individuals are twice as likely to become homeless if they are LGBTQ+. As a result, fundraising events like Coram’s Drag Queen Bingo help AKT offer young LGBTQ+ people routes into safe, affordable, stable housing and provide them with support around employability, mental health, community building and healthcare.

The Phoenix Arts Club, located beneath the Phoenix Theatre in Soho, provided a suitably atmospheric and creative venue for Coram’s Drag Queen Bingo 2026. It offered attendees from Coram Chambers members and their professional networks across the legal sector live drag, laughter and music featuring Envy from Party with Ginger and DJ Lloyd-Paul Dixon – and of course bingo.
Thank you to Coram Chambers for the invitation to attend this memorable event and help support AKT’s charitable work.
