Women In Change Awards 2025

9 July 2025

Louisa Ghevaert spent a memorable evening at Women In Change Awards 2025 in London on 3 July 2025 celebrating the transformative achievements of women from all walks of life. Women In Change is a community of female change-makers driving positive impact on a one-to-one basis, through organisations and on a global scale. This year’s powerful women finalists and leaders demonstrated leadership, positive change and social impact that has helped make the world we all live in a better place. It was astounding to hear their success stories from delivering 11,000 ventilators during the Covid-19 pandemic, to saving 32 billion litres of water and counting, to changing the face of cancer care.

It was both uplifting and inspiring to see what female success can look like. This included high impact humanitarian response projects across international markets lead by Caroline Wanjiru Kiunga responding to disasters, crises and supporting UN agencies. It encompassed transforming how we talk about suicide, grief and healing by author, speaker and advocate Caroline Roodhouse and her daughter Evie Roodhouse following the loss of her husband/father to suicide in 2018. It included the impactful work of Miranda Rennie at the Weir Agency leading programmes for South Staffs, Anglian Water and Cambridge Water that has saved over 32.8 billion litres of water, avoiding an estimated 109,197 tonnes of Co2 – equivalent to 613 transatlantic flights.

It also encompassed the work being done at Perci Health, the UK’s largest virtual cancer clinic which partners with large insurers, supporting 2.5 million people across the UK access specialist cancer care they need free at the point of use. It also included leadership by Mary Patricia Ryan who lead the NHS Ventilator Challenge, overseeing the manufacture of 11,683 intensive care ventilators during the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, it included the work of Alice Spreckley, Managing Director at Naimuri leading a 200 person technology business in the Northwest of the UK delivering software engineering, secure cloud and data science solutions across government, law enforcement and defence sectors.

The Women In Change Awards 2025 provided a platform to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women from all walks of life. It also served as a reminder of the importance of showing up, digging deep and self belief. When women are in the room, have a voice and lead the way incredible things can happen. Thank you to the Women In Change Team lead by Sarah Bar-Lev for a truly special evening.
